George Behringer and OSCA commended by Japan
OSCA and George Behringer, Honorary Consul-General of Japan in Omaha, recently received formal commendations from the Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs based on the promotion of mutual understanding between Japan and the United States. The commendations were presented at a reception at Lauritzen Gardens, attended by more than 100 people, including Japan’s consul-general in Chicago, Naoki Ito.
George Behringer led Omaha’s part of the Omaha-Shizuoka 50th-anniversary celebration in 2015 and has been a longtime friend of OSCA working with our board of directors to engage the Omaha corporate community. He began his professional career as a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers spanning 36 years and practiced public accounting in Pittsburgh for 13 years, Omaha for 19 years and 4 years in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Since then, he has served on three corporate boards and was appointed Honorary Consul General in 2010.
